The Philly's Phunniest Person Competition Returns May 27 - August 18, 2024!
The 2024 Philly’s Phunniest Person Contest begins this summer! Armed with only their own original material, 250 aspiring comics will throw their hats in the ring to compete for the title of Philadelphia's Phunniest Person and take home the $3,000 prize. Registration Info:
Submissions will be open until Wednesday, April 24th at 11:59 PM
There is a $25 Registration Fee
Your form must be completed in full and your entry fee paid in order to participate in the 2024 Philly's Phunniest Person Contest.
Failure to complete either task by April 24th will result in automatic omission and disqualification from the competition.
Rules and Regulations:
Contestants must be from Philadelphia or the surrounding area.
- Contestants must provide an address within a 20-mile radius of the club but can resubmit registrations with new addresses if the original address doesn’t meet the requirements.
Material must be original. If it is not, you will be disqualified.
Contestants must perform:
- - 2.5 - 4 minutes in the Preliminary Rounds
- - 4.5 - 6 minutes in the Semi Finals
- - 8.5 - 10 minutes in the Final Round
Prizes & Judges:
The Winner of the Philly’s Phunniest Person Contest will receive $3,000 + bragging rights for a year!
Final Round Judges are all industry professionals, including TV bookers for stand-up, talent management & agencies, club bookers, radio & TV on-air personalities, and print & online news reporters.
Helium Tracks: All contestants who advance to our Semi-Final rounds will have an opportunity to have their set recorded as part of Helium Tracks and submitted to Sirius and iTunes. This will be entirely voluntary and choosing not to participate in the recording will not impact the competition for any contestant. More information about payment structures, release requirements, or any other questions regarding these recordings will be discussed closer to the Semi-Final & Final round dates.
Promotions:
We'd like to promote you on our website! Please upload a high-resolution photo of yourself for us to include on our contest page. Photo should be current and of yourself only. Professional headshots not required - an appropriate photo from Instagram or Twitter is fine!
