Chris is the founder of Nerdist Industries, which has grown to include the Nerdist.com website; a premium YouTube channel (youtube.com/nerdist) with several hundred thousand subscribers; the Nerdist News daily e-newsletters; 1.9 million Twitter fans; a podcast network including the flagship Nerdist Podcast that averages 4.8M monthly downloads; and most recently The Nerdist, a comedy-variety talk show broadcast on BBC America.

Additionally, Nerdist hosts live events such as The Nerdist Podcast Live! and Course of the Force, an annual Comic-Con lightsaber relay in partnership with Lucasfilm LTD.

Chris Hardwick was born on the starship Enterprise and is the product of two red-shirts that quickly met their demise in a transporter lovemaking mishap. He was banished by the Federation to earth after "inappropriate conduct" on the holodeck with a computer-generated Buffy Summers. Since then, Chris has become a professional stand-up comedian and a self-proclaimed nerd. He is a writer for Wired Magazine and is the face of AMC"s first live after show Talking Dead, which airs as a platform to discuss the network"s highly rated show The Walking Dead.

In 2008, Chris founded Nerdist, a website and podcast devoted to all things nerd related. In 2011, Nerdist merged with GeekChicDaily to form Nerdist Industries with Hardwick serving as Founder & Chief Creative Officer and digital media entrepreneur Peter Levin serving as Chief Executive Officer. Their online presence includes a website at Nerdist.com, a premium YouTube channel (youtube.com/nerdist), the Nerdist News daily e-newsletters, 1.7 million Twitter fans and a podcast network including the flagship Nerdist Podcast which is also produced as a TV show on BBC America.

In July 2012 Legendary Entertainment, the company behind such genre films as Inception, Watchmen, 300, Man Of Steel and The Dark Knight Trilogy, acquired Nerdist Industries. Hardwick and Levin serve as Co-Presidents of Digital for Legendary, in dual roles with their Nerdist positions. Nerdist Industries is headquartered at its theater space at Meltdown Comics in Hollywood, CA. Chris will be featured in a one hour stand-up special "Chris Hardwick: Mandroid" on Comedy Central in November 2012.

Special EventsChris Hardwick is a comedian, actor, TV host, author, writer, producer, podcaster and pop culture enthusiast. He is perhaps best known for his work on the two-time Emmy Award-winning Comedy Central show, @midnight, which he hosted throughout the duration of its 600 episode run. His widely popular podcast, Id10t, attracts some of the world’s most influential people including Sir Paul McCartney, Jordan Peele, Tom Hanks, Bill Gates, Jamie Lee Curtis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jodie Foster, and Clare Danes.

Hardwick is host and executive producer of NBC’s hit game show series The Wall, featuring everyday people and families competing for life-altering amounts of money in a game of knowledge, camaraderie, and luck. The series is now entering its third season and will air later this year. Hardwick also serves as host of the Emmy-nominated Talking Dead, an after-show analysis of the iconic The Walking Dead franchise, part of his extensive multi-year deal with AMC.

On stage, Hardwick continues to solidify himself as one of today's top touring comedians and will hit the road again in 2019. Following his 2012 standup special, Mandroid, Hardwick toured his 2016 show, Funcomfortable, during which he shot a one-hour comedy special of the same name. Both aired on Comedy Central and are available on iTunes, Amazon, and cc.com.

Hardwick’s own television production company, Fish Ladder, has a first-look deal with AMC Studios where several projects are currently in the works. Broadening his production duties, Hardwick joins the Blumhouse family though a three picture first look deal. Additionally, the fanatical horror fan will step behind the camera for one of the films he’s set to produce, adding the title of director to his already extensive resume.

Chris resides in Los Angeles with his wife Lydia Hearst.


This show is 21+ (18+ with a parent or legal guardian over the age of 30). All minors will be wrist-banded or stamped and no alcohol will be served at the table. All parties must have valid ID to enter the building. Please note, there is a 2 item per person minimum in the showroom. Tickets will be available for pick up at the box office prior to the show (they are generally available 1.5-2 hrs prior to showtime.)
