2026 Philly's Phunniest - Preliminary Round
ALL YOU NEED IS 6 MINUTES OF ORIGINAL MATERIAL AND YOU COULD BE THE WINNER OF THE 2014 PHILLY’S PHUNNIEST PERSON CONTEST AND THE $1,000.00 GRAND PRIZE
RULES AND REGULATIONS:
- Contestants must be from Philadelphia or the surrounding area.
- You must perform 4:30 – 6 minutes during preliminary rounds.
- Material must be original. If it is not, you will be disqualified.
- Registration will conclude when we have reached 140 participants.
The preliminary rounds will take place 6/3, 6/10, 6/11, 6/17, 6/25, 6/29, 7/1, 7/8, 7/13, 7/15 and 7/20.
Semi-Finals will take place July 22 & 23, with the finals taking place on Sunday, July 27.
Registration fee is $20 per person. This registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. The night of your preliminary round, you will receive a $15 Helium Comedy Club gift certificate at the conclusion of your performance.

Please list dates that you may be unavailable and we will do our best to accommodate such requests.
Comics for each show will be picked at random and judges along with audience votes will decide who advances.
A full breakout of your ticket will be shown during checkout. The service fees help cover the costs of putting on the show. They are shared between the various organizing parties, and may include a profit to them.
All shows are 21+ (18+ if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian over the age of 30). All accompanied 18+ guests will be wrist-banded or stamped, and no alcohol will be served at the table. All parties must have valid government-issued IDs to enter the building.
Instead of a drink minimum, we have a two-item per person minimum in the Showroom, which can be fulfilled with any food or drink items from the menu. Food and drinks purchased in the bar and lounge do not count towards the two-item minimum.
Please Note: There is a $10 charge ($5 per item) if you choose not to order anything in the showroom. By every guest abiding to this minimum, this charge covers our facility costs to continue providing you with great laughs and events!
- General Admission seating is assigned on a first-come, first-sat basis as you enter the showroom. The earlier you arrive, the better your seats will be.
- Reserved seats are assigned for you by management on the night of the show. They are the best seats available for your party size at the time they are assigned.
Please Note: We do not take seating requests and cannot guarantee seats in a specific location or that your party will have a table to themselves.
- While we cannot guarantee seats together, General admission groups should arrive at least 45 minutes before showtime and enter the showroom as a group for the best chance of being seated together.
- Reserved groups who purchase tickets in a single order will automatically be assigned seating together. Reserved ticket holders who purchase separately are not guaranteed seating together. Please see your email confirmation for details if your group purchased separately.
Please Note: We will only seat complete groups. Your group must enter the showroom together to be seated together. In addition, we do not take seating requests and cannot guarantee you seats in a specific location.

Ticket protection is insurance that allows you to cancel your order to receive a venue credit toward a future event. It can be added to most orders at the time of purchase but cannot be added after the order has been placed.
To redeem your Ticket Protection and receive a venue credit toward a future event, please send an email to protection@heliumcomedy.com with your order number no less than 24 hours before showtime.
